Been on a fabric dyeing workshop today, had a great time & now have 18 bits of fabric soaking in plastic bags:-) We used 3 colours to make 15 differents colours. 15 pieces will be straightforward plain colours but the other three were scrunched or folded & had several colours dripped or poured on them so that could lead to some interesting patterns ( Read more... )

woooo fabric dyeing course I didn't know there were such things, where did you do that course?

It was at my local patchwork & quilting shop (Threads & Patches in Fenny Stratford, Bucks). Just have to rush through college this am to start the rinsing & washing which I am told is the boring bit as you have to keep going until the water is clear. I can't wait to do more & experiment with different effects. My fav is spinkling salt on the wet dyed fabric.
