i got an A- on my first midterm which leaves me feeling pretty ok about the state of things. i have four papers due around my birthday, so i guess the only thing to do is to finish them early. yup. early. *is starting to get anxiety attacks already

Sorry I missed this post. I'm a tad too self-absorbed right now.
Anniversaries are important. And if they're important to you but not to your partner then there's some reevaluation that needs doing :( It would be one thing if it wasn't something that mattered to you, but it does and he should be aware of that. If he knows (as in you've told him) and he's not responding then he's not treating you well.
Try not to succomb to the anxiety. Do yoga, take a walk, take some deep breaths. Have a cup of tea if it'll help. I'm the queen of anxiety and I know how much it sucks :( Remember, you can break up tasks into managable chunks, it's allowed. I know how easy it is to assume it all must get done right now or it's not worth doing. But that's not the way the real world works, just the innner workings of our minds. And well, those inner workings can actually *gasp* be wrong sometimes.
