My doggy has lots of lumps, and none of them have meant cancer. And my mom's friend had cancer, but now it's ALL GONE because some of the stuff they did actually helped! And if you can't think of anyone in your family who's had it, you're less likely to have it.
Nah. Go have a doctor check it out, they'll be able to better determine the proper course of action. Worst case short term is that they have to biopsy it, but the vast majority of lumps are just benign fatty masses. You're too young to be at much risk for most cancers anyway.
Definitely get it checked out, though. Might I ask where it is?
Thanks guys! You dudes are probably right...I don't have cancer. But I'm going to get it checked out sometime next week anyway. Rather be safe than sorry.
Um, Josh. Let's just say, if I wore a tank top, you could see it.
sneha sneha!!!!!! it's me!!simulated_zenJune 18 2005, 19:08:08 UTC
don't worry sneha...my mom once made me go to the doctor because of a lump i had in that same "tank top" area. twas nothing.
oh yes...she also wanted me to go to the doctor for a scar-looking thingy that everyone thinks is a hickey (in that same area)...you probably know what i'm talkign about.
Haha! You're hooked on LITERATI!! Yes, it's addicting.
About your lump, same thing that others are saying, get it checked soon. The longer you wait the more of a risk it may become... meaning that it might not be cancerous at the moment but it can become cancerous it not treated. Hope everything turns out ok!
