OMG. I just came home from driving on the highway. It was the worst experience of my life. I think, if I hadn't kept my cool, I would have crashed. With my dad, brother, and sister in the car. HOLY CRAP! IS HE INSANE! After slapping you once something should have clicked in his head that should have compelled him to stop. My dad hit my mom once many years ago but only once. WITH YOUR BROTHER AND SISTER IN THE CAR!

Foreign customs are one thing, but dont let yourself be convinced that he was right to be violent with you in any way. Particularly not for something so innocent.
