Ur doin it rong: The next installment….

So for those of you who do not live in South Australia, we have recently had a state government-implemented ban on thin plastic non-biodegradable bags for all supermarkets.  The basis of this ban has something to do with: too many bags going into landfill, the fact that once in the dump the never break down ( Read more... )

That seems like an odd solution. Around here, a lot of people are bringing their own canvas or fabric bags to the stores, and the stores sell them for a few bucks as well. There's no ban on the regular thin plastic bags though.

Yes it is so odd I am amazed that more people haven't noticed the problem. Your system sounds fairer -allow the people who wish to make a change, do it of their own compulsion. Thanks for your comment.
