Officially Departing Ways

Feb 17, 2009 10:21

I just gave my notice to my boss.
Last day of work will be March 27th.

I am nervous.

I think that by giving notice it further motivates me to get things thrown away and sorted.

I am having trouble deciding on how to move my stuff, though.
What do you think?

Yeah, Ive driven the trip a couple of times.
One of the best times I've ever had was driving from Florida to Boston by myself. Straight through (hopped up on Stackers back when they had speed in 'em)

i voted "rent an suv".....

i once lost a huge box of posters, band tshirts, and basically all my favorite things (when i was 17) to a moving company.

so, i've been jaded ever since. i realize that's not a typical occurance, but it happens.

yeah. moving companies blow.
I would be shipping my crap via UPS and insuring it.
I dont have anything too valuable.

I dunno.

I will be using my Dad's Jag that he left in Florida. It needs some work but it's drivable.

And eventually buying a used car.

I'm a fan of the "ship and fly" only because I heard you have a tendency to be hazard-prone. It looks like a wash cost-wise, though, so flying is more convenient in my opinion.

Are you moving to Tampa or somewhere else? Good to have you back in da' hood!!!

I voted for renting an SUV also; keeping track of packages to ship is a hassle if it doesn't go right. $30 for peace of mind is worth it.
