So, my brother shot a deer. Those of you who know my brother will know how absurd that is. Since going to IU, my brother has fully embraced various hippy trends. He went through his vegetarian phase, his vegan phase, and his eating out of dumpsters (lest food go to waste) phase. Now, he wants to be self-sufficient and off-the-grid. So my hippy

I don't think a lot of people put much thought into "honoring" the wildlife when they are taken for food. I think this is true for both those who are against hunting and those who do hunt. But in my family, it has always been a way of life to not just shoot an animal. We take what we can use, what we need. We watch, and we choose the right animal to take. And we appreciate the magnificence that are the animals God put on this earth with us.

I hope your deer meat meal is indeed wonderful and full of thanks.
