"No!" Buffy screamed as she bolted into a sitting position. Tears had started streaming down her face, and she was already breathing hard. Her mind though a bit foggy from sleep, she surveyed the room found a platinum blond reading a book upside down in one of her chairs.
"Have the dream again?" The platinum blond woman said in a soft, kind voice.
"Y-Yes," Buffy answered as she tried to wipe her tears with her hands until the blonde handed her a handkerchief. "Thanks."
"It is quite odd you would dream of his final moments," the lighter blond said.
"Yeah, no kidding," Buffy said, wiping her tears with the piece of cloth. "But when has my life been normal?" Though Buffy had a nagging feeling in the back of her head, she hadn't told Luna about her nightmares being about a man, maybe the blond witch before her just assumed?
"That is true," the blond commented in her sing song voice she always had that was a touch of dreamy.
"Luna--" Buffy began.
"The séance will be an hour, you should get ready, then we can find out what happened to disrupt the balance," Luna Lovegood commented as she got up and skipped out of the room.
Buffy sighed, how did she get herself into this? Oh, right, awakening all those slayers, had done more than just give them power they may never have known at all. It almost destroyed their world and another, and that was not just on Buffy but others too. She had convinced everyone that it was their only option, and when Willow did it, it had merged a world of Wizards with a world where demons existed.
The new Watcher's Council refused to take any of the blame the Wizards had for what happened, so Buffy was the Watcher's Council's Escape Goat. Buffy had been literally handed over to a bunch of angry wizards. However, it had been Auror Harry Potter that had spoken up for her, someone who knew that in war, tough choices had to be made. So Luna Lovegood was essentially appointed her guardian of sorts. Afterwards they discovered that being a Slayer wasn't just super strength and killing demons. Every single Slayer had immense magic, if honed early on would have been a Witch in the Wizarding world's sense.
It was giving her a headache; Buffy stood up out of her bed and had to stretch. Suddenly she heard a pop, momentarily forgetting about the dream, of the man's death she wouldn't speak about to anyone. A House Elf had appeared and had remade the bed with new beddings.
"Thanks Floppy," Buffy told the small house elf.
"Youse should be getting cleaned miss, do youse want me to make youse a bath," the small House Elf asked.
"Oh, no, you don't have to do that, I'm just going to take a shower and change," Buffy offered with a smile.
Buffy grabbed a pair of comfortable clothes and went into the bathroom. It was unbelievable the things that Buffy had been introduced to in her time with Luna, and Luna had an interesting look at things, that was for sure. Though, Buffy had tried to talk to her friends, it seemed they no longer acknowledged her, and wondered if after the split in Sunnydale, they had only joined back with her because she had the only weapon that really mattered in the war, the one that could cause the most damage. Well almost everyone ignored her, Faith it seemed still regarded her as B, a partner in crime who was trying to find a way to help get her out of the mess. It seemed Faith was the only one you could count on, which was ironic.
When Buffy came out of the shower, mostly dry and dressed she heard a snap of fingers and felt her hair dry. "Thank you Floppy," She told the creature who beamed at her. Buffy brushed out her hair and put it in a low ponytail, and let out a sigh. As she opened the door, there Luna was with a smile.
"Hermione, Ginny, and Katie are here," She said as she turned to walk out.
Buffy trailed behind woman with a sigh. 'We're off to see the Wizard, or more like a Coven,' She thought to herself. She was quiet as she walked with Luna downstairs and through a hall where a dimly lit room was, already seated were three other girls.
"Buffy Summers?" A young woman spoke at the end.
"Yes?" Buffy asked.
"Katie Wood," The blond woman offered.
"Nice to meet you," Buffy said a tad bit uncomfortable about this. She knew she was a prisoner to the Wizarding World, and sometimes it was hard to tell the distinction.
"Shouldn't we get started?" A frizzy brunette asked, her tone clipped in a no-nonsense sort of way.
'Isn't she friendly,' Buffy thought to herself.
Luna nodded as she sat down and Buffy followed suit. The table they sat at was made of black onyx and had symbols carved into it, unlike typical séances, this required Wizarding magic to work.
Ginny had been very quiet about it, and had been watching Buffy as if looking for something in particular. Luna had told her and Harry what Buffy said in her sleep, that it had been Sirius that had perished in Buffy's visions, and somehow it was connected. There was something connecting Harry's godfather and Buffy Summers, but no could figure out what it could be.
"I will need everyone to touch the table," Ginny stated. Once the girls did as were asked she began. "I invoke, conjure, and command you, appear unto me before this circle." She said. Again she repeated it. "I invoke, conjure, and command you, appear unto me before this circle. I invoke, conjure, and command you, appear unto me before this circle. I invoke, conjure, and command you, appear unto me before this circle." A wind blew into the room.
"You witches, always so bloody impatient." A voice called.
"Who are you?" Ginny asked.
"Oh, no one, you can call me Emrys though." He asked. "Why have you summoned me?" The man said, he sounded a bit on the grumpy side.
"This woman has seen the death of a man she has never met every night since our worlds merged." Ginny informed him.
The spirit of a man who looked no more than nineteen floated near Buffy and gasped, "Bloody hell, Arthur?!"
"I think you have me confused with someone else, I'm Buffy Summers, the Slayer."
The spirit was still laughing. "You will have to pardon me, I have not met a Vampire Slayer since before I died." He paused as if remembering something. "Oh it makes so much sense why he was trying to get to you." Emrys spoke.
"I'm confused, you called her Arthur." Hermione commented.
"In another life, she was a he. The man she dreams of is someone she knew in her last life." Once he composed himself, Emrys still had a smile on his face. "But not the life he had lived in your world madam summoner." The spirit took a moment to pause and then told them, "I will tell you this much mi ladies, she is the key to returning Lord Black to the land of living to begin with. After all, death and Arthur are old friends." With that, the spirit disappeared.
