I wanted to comment on your latest entry, but could not. Instead I'm commenting here, to register a formal complaint. Formally.

And also, this: Life is just about as wonderful as the days are long.

This city was my escape plan.

I apologize if I offended you in anyway, Brian.
I am probably not as fond of this city as you are (what with the wonderful projects you have online), but I didn't intend to direct any hatred towards it.
That entry was incredibly vague and naive, much like the whole concept behind the drawing. It was bound to receive the kind of feedback you gave it.

Thank you very much for your wise words about long days, it's most definitely what I have been trying to grasp in my mind lately.

No offense taken. My "complaint" was not a serious one. About the city, I meant my comment as merely a counterpoint to yours, not as a rebuttal. Everyone has a different perspective on the place they live, and that perspective is necessarily always changing. I sometimes hold an idealized version of Winnipeg in my mind, and often the reality falls far short. I get disillusioned about this place, too.

Now, what I first intended to do when I commented was to ask if I could see a larger version of your drawing.

You can see it here. To explain the poor quality: the size of the drawing is too big to fit into my non-existent scanner, so I took a picture of it instead.

By the way, were you in History of Existentialism last term?
I was picking up my papers from that course the other day and I saw a name that looked familiar. I couldn't figure out why at the time. Now I know it was probably you, or another Brian!
