I fell pretty much the same as you in regards to use of pot. I honestly dont see how pot is that much worse than alcohol that it has to be illegal. Juts like anything if you use it responsibly for recreational use then there is not a problem but once you start getting to the point where it takes control of your life and you can not function without it then you have a dependancy problem and need to get it back in check. Me I prefer pot over alcohol any day of the year but the legality of it makes me almost scared to use it. But thats just my thoughts.
