ANOTHER LOG. This time it's the sumeragi genie!

Aug 09, 2006 22:47

The Sumeragi Genie was located just four doors down from the Konan Velvet Room. It seemed every door in the city was locked except this one. Even the Jolly Roger, amidst Katsuya's suggestion, was locked. This place, however, glistening... with the genie sitting behind her crystal ball... a dark midnight building, beckoned those to enter. Through a ( Read more... )

It had taken a little bit for Cinnamon's skirt and hair to dry out, but once she wasn't feeling so damp, she headed for the strip mall she'd spotted. But when she got there, all the shops were closed. She was starting to wonder if it was some sort of local holiday. If so, maybe she should ask where the parade was going to be. She didn't want to miss it ( ... )

"A fortune teller, yes, but more importantly, a genie, Cinnamon." The genie responded warmly, a smile crossing over her lips. The small sheeth over her mouth lifted on either end, leaving her eyes glittering and her eyebrows raised. "I see you've come from the water. Are you all right circuitry wise? I'm afraid I don't understand your kind very much."

Cinnamon gasped in delight and clapped her hands together again before moving closer happily. "You know my name! Wow! You're good at this, ma'am." She didn't really believe her about the genie part, though. It was just part of the act, and Cinnamon was loving it.

"Oh, you know about that too? You're amazing! Yes, I'm fine. All my circuitry and internal systems are waterproof." Cinnamon smiled brightly. "Um... Have you met any other reploids before, ma'am?"

"Unfortunately I have not. I have met Persona users; they are the strangest I've gone outside of the demon realm, I'm afraid. Though, I wouldn't say you are strange, child, just of a different world. Welcome to Sumaru."

The genie's eyes flicked to the door. "I wonder if the keyblades will find some balance with you, young one."

Speaking of the keyblades! They were coming.

Everything was... closed, strangely. The place that the cop-man had told them to go to was closed, at any rate, as was everywhere they checked to ask about-- oh hey wait! Here we go! Wolf got there first [perhaps Ryu was taking after his player? :|~], opened ther door, walked in...

... Only to get a faceful of tassel and drapery. He ducked his head and sneezed. Ah, hell. Pushing them out of the way this time, he continued on, and so... ... hey, crystal ball! Fortune telling house? [Was that a picture of aforementioned copman over there, too? Huh.]

Ryu was still a little worried about how his neck and legs seemed to be stiffening more and more gradually. Hence why he'd let Wolf take the initiative for a change.

Ryu followed in, a little weirded out by the decorations. He didn't think he'd ever seen any place quite so... what was the word... strange?

"Huh."

Cinnamon turned around at the sound of the sneeze. When she saw who it was as he straightened up, her eyes widened in delight. "Mister Wolfy! You're here too!" And then she ran over to him and hugged him around the waist. She didn't notice Ryu until she let go and pulled back to grin happily up at him.

"Oh! Mister Ryu! You found me too!" Cinnamon giggled and turned back to Wolf. "That means your name really is Wolf!"

The genie cracked a smile. "Two blades and a staff. This will certainly be interesting." She called warmly. She waved mysteriously to the benches by her crystal ball. "Please take a seat. I assume you are wondering, Mr. Ryu, why you cannot speak to Chief Todoroki in Kuzunoha?

"We have much to talk about."

What. First he was staring at some psychic and now that really... cheerful girl was hugging him? Some strange girl was hugging him. What?

Wolf O'Donnell had nearly died countless times, worked for an evil mastermind bent on enslaving the universe and was in the middle of a planet EXPLODING [and survived!]-- and he didn't know what to do about the girl... hugging... him. ... Hugging... "Er. Yes it is?" He blinked once, twice. The girl...

... Hey look sitting! Sitting was a great idea! AND she let go! Yeah. Um. Sitting on a bench now. :D) \

Ryu smiled at Cinnamon and nodded. "Indeed."

He could not help but grin at Wolf's flustered reaction, but such mirth did not last. He faced the fortuneteller and nodded. "Yes. It would be nice to finally get some answers that would not lead to more questions, for a change."

He sat down, patiently waiting for the fortuneteller to... well... do whatever she was supposed to do.

Cinnamon smiled happily and almost bounced over to sit on the bench next to Wolf. Not only had she found some new friends, but she was going to get her fortune read too! "Will you read our fortunes too? I've never had my fortune told before." Cinnamon clasped her hands in her lap and tried not to bounce in anticipation.

"After we are done, Cinnamon, if you wish, I will read your fortune." Within the crystal ball a golden butterfly began to glow. Soon, the genie's eyes were rolling into the back of her head, a strange tongue emitting from her throat, and finally, her eyes snapped open, now glowing with the same gold as the butterfly. It slowly withered into a small, black dot, and then, disappeared. "Philehmon is the guiding force of the Persona world. He himself is a Persona, the Persona of a great thinker in the past, and he rules the world of the subconscious. He takes the form of a butterfly when he is weak, but now, not even the butterflies fly free, they are clouded by the darkness that travels out of those without hearts ( ... )
