2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.
I know it's the obvious answer, but Prince. This bond is especially cemented by the fact that I wouldn't listen to him if it hadn't been for your "We Like To Frequent This Club" mix.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
You were always willing to help me out with issues that came up while I was station director. I really appreciated that kindness.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
CMJ 2003. Though I'm not sure if that counts as a memory because it's difficult to remember anything from those nights. Perhaps I'll default to your karaoke performances at Nico's where you perfected the dance moves from Purple Rain5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you
( ... )
If it wasn't for radio leading you down the path of communications, what would you see yourself doing now? Would it be a different branch of academic communications, or something entirely different?
Good fucking question. At this point, it's hard for me to say whether I would rather be working IN radio, but that was my initial plan. Sadly, at the time I wasn't sure I wanted to leave Pittsburgh, and could only find sales jobs at local stations.
If we set all radio-related things to the side, I'm not sure. The only other thing that I was passionate about prior to college was music, which sort of fell by the wayside for a number of practical reasons. In short, were I not in communication studies or in radio proper, I would probably be doing something that I hated.
I may (or may not?) need (or, well, not need, but would like to have?) your mailing address (which I think I got years ago and would probably be out of date?) if you're willing to part with such information in this day and age.
