Swooning here

I'm so excited XD Tim got me my birthday present yesterday and I almost smashed him in the head with it as soon as I saw the wrapped little box, because I knew that if it was what I thought it was, then he'd spent a fortune... A moment later, my suspicions were confirmed and even doubled because he got me a better one than I could have hoped for ( Read more... )

Christ, that looks cool!
Is Tim your boyfriend? He really must love you, that's a brilliant gift!

I'm also thinking about an iPod for a while now, but i'm still not sure, if it is just too much money.

Yep, Tim is my bf. He's great ♥

I can't tell you yet if it's a good idea to spend so much money on it. It depends on what you want it for. Personally, Im very happy with it so far, but I hear they give a lot of trouble and break after a year :/ We'll see!

I haven't been too interested in the iPod phenomenon until recently, when I thought...I bet I could record myself reading poetry or prose onto my computer, and then put it on my iPod so that I could replay in an attempt to memorize it. I bet I could memorize so much more literature that way!

I think it is a very cool gift. Two thumbs up to your Tim for getting the Right Thing. :D

You can also buy a cute little thing to stick on top of your iPod and record things directly onto your iPod. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I wasn't too interested either, but the video function is neat and I can also store text files in the ipod and read them on the go. Plus it's useful for when I go on holiday, which I do once or twice a year, so in that sense it's handy for me.

I wanted to buy a dictaphone so I could record fic ideas, etc when I didn't have a computer available. I'm going to look into the accesory rocknlobster mentioned and maybe get it. It'd come so handy!

I'm very happy with it, except I haven't figured out how to keep it stable... it messed up my videos when I plugged it in a computer with Linx >_>

Very cool! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how often you use it. Hubby and I share an ipod-- though not one of the cool new video ones, like yours. :D It is nice to have.

That was super-nice of Tim. I'm happy for you! :D

Yep, so far I'm using it a lot. It also has a function to store text files in it, and I think I'll be using it to store short stories and things to read when I travel. It's very neat. Tim is just so nice :D ♥
