Last night at Arthurs Tavern in the West Village I got into a very nice discussion with my friends Yatsuko and Joe about love...
Yatsuko thought that the reasons why you love someone are not definable, that its a sentiment that comes after knowing them for a while and it just grows overtime... I disagreed but since the Funk band in the back ground started playing some James Brown "Get Up get On Up!!!" I never got to get my thoughts out... I really think most people can break down why they "Love" a person above all the other folks in their lives. To me its a matter of focus you're lens on what about Lover Boy/Girl gets you going and being very honest with you're about it... I mean soooo many folks seem to trap them selves in hopeless relationship based on the simple words " I Love (him/her) sooooo much I just can't imagine living without them." Well to me that’s a cop out, you know exactly why you're giving your freedom up to be with someone else and you just have to be honest to yourself to begin the process of Loving in a different, a conscious way that allows you the power care for the person without becoming complete lost yourself as an individual...
