Happenings

Well lets see now.

Well since the last post, it turned out the bed got delayed again, wound up getting it (finally) Saturday the 5th in the morning, was a little awkward to slot into the bedroom given how small my room is vs how long this thing is. seriously, I'm 6'2" and my feet don't hang off the end of this one. but I couldn't try it out that night, a Certain Horse had a party out of town and I do like a good drive, so off to York I went after ensuring my car was prepped and I packed anything I needed. was a good night, just chilling out, having casual conversations with old faces and taking it all easy.

The next morning was quiet, cleanup was hassle free and just as we finished our good-byes and various peeps headed back to perth, that storm crossed the path. while not particularly heavy, the rain was enough to work with the wind and certainly brought on all my attention to my driving. gotta say, I was an idiot for finding out that my car could keep grip at ~140km/h in the wet, at a crest. If I weren't alone in my car, I wouldn't have tried, but I kind of did want to get ahead of the slow caravan, so I wound up commiting to that over-take. not bright but I'm fine, no one else had an accident so lets pretend that didn't happen ^=^;;;

Work wise was pretty quiet after the blur that was Sunday, I don't really even remember what I did for Sunday to be honest. Figure my social media posts would have some form of clue to that. but with the grumpy higher-ranked guy back at work, business was mostly as usual, Things have been getting a little quiet but Noex (non-fur friend/co-worker) is having two weeks leave so hopefully the grumpy guy will have other things on his plate to keep him busy from being, well, grumpy.

At home things are pretty much run of the mill. The scent of new paint has faded from the walls, Sister is still being outright lazy with her dishes and aside from the apartment fencing getting ripped out ( has asbestos apparently ) not much is noteworthy with the neighbours.

I don't know if I mentioned that I picked up a reel mower but I'm itching to run it again. it cleared my back yard pretty easily and I'm waiting for the grass to recover from the deep-cut stress and sprig up a little so I can start keeping it in check. Theres a lot of myth about these old push mowers being a PITA to use, hard to move or such but really, their main problem is jamming, on things like twigs or particularly hard stems of grass. If you tune them right, they'll do a good cut yet glide along even one-handed without a problem. I don't care about the 'less noise' or '0 emission' benefits, it fills one big need that I look into, that need is 'Is easy' and they are, really.

Haven't been doing much with photography as of late due to a combination of winter being too bloody cold and Zeratul, a friend I hang with when it comes to car stuff, has been a bit out off to the side thanks to some hiccups with his own ride. My car isn't permitted along to these JDM meets and honestly, I've long since washed my hands with the domestic group. there is a lot of number based wankery going on that I sometimes wonder if people forget to simply enjoy themselves. so what my sedan is slow and has no mods. it does what I expect it to and then some!

So yeah. nothing too new happening, Just quietly waiting for summer to make a return so I can bask in warmth and laugh at all the 'but winter is cuddle weather' people. cuddle weather is pointless when you're single / aren't hooking up / aren't that close to anyone / "The" blue wolf ( given theres another in perth, a blue wolf. but i'm THE blue wolf! :P ) So yeah, cuddle weather can bite me. I want warm lounging evenings please.
