About half an hour after their texted conversation, as promised, Damita is in the nexus to pick Jim up for their boat-ride. Jim's arriving just about the same time, wearing his uniform and a black jacket - not his leather one, because he's trying to look a bit more professional, lately, but a standard Starfleet thing that looks a bit like a duster.

"You're lucky you brought the squirrel, else I don't know how I'd have found you," he says, smiling. She's really very pretty. His luck is awesome.

"We'd have figured something out," she laughs - her accent is a mess, Savannah and what sounds like Scotland and a little bit of Spain all at once. She's tidy in a maxidress and cardigan, both shades of grey, and espadrilles. "But I guess that makes you Jim. Hello!"

Her accent is pretty - he notes it but doesn't ask, after all, when you're used to navigating accents from all over the galaxy, it gets less and less surprising to hear new ones, even on humans. "It makes me lucky, too-- Hi! It's nice to meet you in person, Damita." He offers his hand.

"And you!" Damita shakes his hand - hers are moisturized and manicured, but not at all unfamiliar with hard work. "I'm always happy to share things like this - I love this place." She waves, over Jim's shoulder, at the frog-man in the water. (He splashes, in answer.)
