Early morning hilarity:

Text Msg sent at 1:44am: "Apparently I'm not a good friend to you according to my boyfriend because I'm letting you get fake tits! He thinks you're beautiful the way you are! Me too!"

Insert hysterical laughing.

Let me start with the fact that a) I think very highly of you and b) on occasion I entertain the idea of implants, too. Since I used to have C's verging on D's and I now have just barely B's... well... yeah ( ... )

Valid points, and I gotta say you're right. I guess when it comes down to it, it has a bit of a social aspect to it. I can't say that I don't want to look good, especially in the presence of others, but I do truly want to look my best so I feel MY best. I often look in the mirror, alone, and wish I had a more proportionate body. I figure with today's technology, why not? It's available, it's done thousands of times a day, I want to, why not?

I've gotten far more "Why? Don't do it." responses than I have positive ones, but in the end, it's my decision, and I'm the one living with the choice, no one else. And I realize it's not "necessary", I don't feel I need it in the least, I do love my body the way it is, but I "want" a C cup. I have the means financially to buy things I want, why not breasts?

* The main issue I'm having though, is...Why does it even matter? What difference does it make? If I'm fine the way I am, I should be fine with them as well. What in the world will this affect?

It's the surgery part that makes people so resistant I think. If you said, "I'm going to get my hair done, buy a new outfit, and get a membership at a gym," no one would complain. Similarly, if you said you wanted Lasik, I doubt you'd get much resistance. It's the combination of non-necessity and surgery that's kinda freaky. If it were an over the counter cream, I'd have it done already. :) I'll put it that way ( ... )
