You are right about reading Joyce-- out loud is a must. I took a class (there were only 6 students in the class!) as an undergrad... the entire class was dedicated to reading and discussing "Ulysses".

I really admire that you are picking up Finengans Wake by yourself! reading Joyce takes a sort of commitment, I think. I haven't read FW yet. He wrote it last before he died, right?

I've heard it's even harder to read than Ulysses!...
