Can't wait to see the new pearly whites :)!! I had braces a few years ago, from ages 14-16, and they were the pits. They were the cheap kind, always cutting into my mouth, the wiring would get bent easily, and if I didn't brush after every single snack/meal, my mouth would look and taste (and probably smell) atrocious! I'm so glad they're off. I got them put on at a time when braces were really popular with people my age.. it was COOL to have them. Since my mother wouldn't pay for them and my remaining family members didn't have the cash to help me out, I got a job and all $3000 that I made went to the rail road tracks settled into my mouth. Show us soon! haha

It'll be a bit longer than I'd hoped. Apparently my body metabolizes things pretty quickly, so the anaesthetic wears off really, really fast. Even though they're just injecting it into my mouth, there is still, as you can imagine, a limit as to how much they are willing to give a patient in one day. They had originally thought I would need three to four of these marathon visits, but now it's going to be five or six slightly less marathon like visits. So I have three or four left to go. Bleh for the interim, but it'll be worth it in the end ( ... )

Don't forget - yours were a military family which made the dental work free. They (as a general rule) never done anything they didn't HAVE to. At the same time - you were very young at retirement - and the new Ohio dentist never ever suggested it. Hm-m-m-m.
