Pairings: Seungyoon/Mino, Seungyoon/Taehyun
Rating: R
Summary: Seungyoon wants nothing more than to sleep with Mino
Word Count: 1,351
Notes: This will be angsty at some point.

There are very few things Seungyoon believes to be worthwhile in this world: one of which is great sex - emphasis on the great- because otherwise why would anyone want to engage in an act so intimate and primal unless it can get you off in the best way possible? Another involves watching Song Mino pad around his apartment without a shirt on, his trousers hung low enough to provide a glimpse of the grey briefs that clung snugly to the part of him Seungyoon wishes, craves he could see, too.

Of course there are more things on that short list, perhaps performing in front of a sold out venue could even top it. But at this very moment, Seungyoon comes up with just those two, along hopeless ways the second can translate to the first.

“It’s not here either,” Mino calls out from inside the washroom, his voice dripping with impatience. Seungyoon smirks against his cup of tea before taking a sip, not the least bit guilty for lying.

“Really?” Seungyoon tries to sound concerned. “Are you sure you checked inside the dryer?”

“I did,” Mino replies before his head peeks out the door.  “I’m just going to empty the machine and put my shirt in, okay?”

For a second, Seungyoon considers just going with it, but it seems impractical now. He decides it’s enough of a blessing to have Mino arrive at his doorstep dripping wet, complaining about the sudden rain, and tells him the truth. “Oh wait. Are you talking about the blue button down you left last Friday? I think it’s in my closet.”

Mino comes out of the washroom with just a hint of a frown, and Seungyoon sucks in a breath when his eyes land on Mino’s chest. He’s definitely been working out, but Seungyoon keeps that observation to himself as Mino moves to Seungyoon’s bedroom. He comes back a minute later, halfway through buttoning the shirt, and Seungyoon feels a little mad at himself. Instead of getting rid of Mino’s clothes altogether, he just helped him put some on.

In his defense, what Seungyoon finds easy with most guys, he finds incredibly difficult with Mino. But it’s never from the lack of trying, no. How many times had Seungyoon used the fuck me tactics on his friend? He’s played ‘drunk and horny’ a few times, but Mino - always the gentleman - never took advantage of it, much to Seungyoon’s frustration. He also tried the ‘I’m lonely phone call’ card, but what Seungyoon envisioned as Mino racing to his apartment to comfort Seungyoon in ways that involved dropping to his knees or shoving something up Seungyoon’s very lonely, very sad ass, turned into supportive friend Mino with a bottle of wine, urging Seungyoon to let it out because he’s ready to listen.

On one of his more desperate days, Seungyoon actually managed to create a situation where he got rid of all of his clothes and sported a semi-boner in front of the guy, but the most reaction he got from Mino was a laugh and the words, “put some clothes on” which Seungyoon has never, never heard any guy say to him. Especially not when they saw, in all his naked glory, what was in it for them.

It took all of six months since he met Mino before Seungyoon realized that maybe it’s as simple as: Mino is just not interested. That realization bruised his rockstar ego and fucked with his mind for a while that he had to cut off contact for nearly two months, only made difficult by Mino doing everything he could to find out what was wrong and win his friend Seungyoon back.

Like most people charmed by Song Mino, Seungyoon soon found out one doesn’t stay angry at the guy for long. Seungyoon never got over Mino, not really, and he doubts he ever will because come on, look at him. Seungyoon did put his seduction mission on the backburner, but he still holds on to the hope that maybe Mino will come to his senses one day and realize just what he’d been passing up every single time he stepped foot into Seungyoon’s apartment and left without fucking him.

Mino snaps him out of his thoughts when he whistles that annoying tune Seungyoon recognizes is by some idol group that plays everywhere in the city. He holds back a derisive remark about mainstream music in Korea being a joke and how Mino of all people shouldn’t be paying attention to that crap when he sees the obvious delight on the other man’s face as he sits across from him.

“You seem chipper,” Seungyoon says.

Mino flashes him a grin that usually meant something good has happened and he’s only been waiting for Seungyoon to ask. “I got the gig.”

Seungyoon’s eyes grow wide. “Holy shit! Congrats! How is this not the first thing you tell me?!”

“I had to get out of my wet clothes,” Mino explains, but he delights in Seungyoon’s reaction nonetheless. “I got the call this morning. I came here as fast as I could.”

Seungyoon gets up from his stool and rounds the table. Without hesitating, he flings both arms around Mino in a tackle, and Mino chuckles as he returns the hug with the same enthusiasm. Seungyoon sighs into his embrace, knowing it is nothing but a friendly gesture, but his heart skips a beat anyway. “I’m proud of you,” he says as he pulls back and sees the megawatt smile he’s come to associate with Song Mino. “When?”

“Next Saturday,” Mino grabs a piece of buttered toast Seungyoon prepared for him earlier. He takes a bite and holds it up to Seungyoon’s mouth. Damn him, Seungyoon curses some more in his head but takes a bite, too. Sometimes he thinks Mino does these things on purpose. After giving Mino’s shoulder a slight squeeze, he goes back to his seat. Some distance would do him good right now.

“We have a gig at some bar or something, but I’m sure Jangmae can take care of it,” Seungyoon offers. Mino gives him a thumbs up and continues eating, oblivious to that dreadful phone call Seungyoon has to make when he leaves. It’s never easy cancelling performances, and it has cost Seungyoon a lot of money in damages and earned him his bandmates’ ire. But Mino doesn’t know that, he doesn’t need to. This is his big break, and Seungyoon will be damned if he isn’t there to see it.

Mino doesn’t shut up about all the rappers on the lineup, and Seungyoon listens, his chin propped on the heel of his hand. Mino has this habit of talking at the side of his mouth when he’s being smug about something, and Seungyoon finds it too sexy for his own good.

“Oh shit, I have to go,” Mino blurts out, drinking the rest of his coffee in one shot. Seungyoon looks outside his window and curses the rain for stopping. Mino jumps off his stool and grabs his phone and wallet on the countertop. “I’ll drop by your set tomorrow, okay?” He approaches Seungyoon for another hug. It doesn’t even last a second before Mino is walking to the door. “Thanks, man!”

Seungyoon exhales at the click of the lock. He turns to the table and gathers the empty cups and plates, and moves to the kitchen. He tosses them a little too carelessly into the sink and the sound fills the space. Seungyoon feels a tug at his chest that wasn’t there earlier.

The worst part about being friends with Mino, just friends, is how his own apartment feels emptier when he leaves.

Seungyoon tries to shake it off with a laugh, chalks it up to being sexually frustrated.

He turns around and leans back against the sink, taking his phone out of his pocket. He goes through his phone book, and names flash in his eyes, some he associates with a face, some he doesn’t. He stops at a name and sighs. Pursing his lips, he types.

I need you. Come by tonight. - S.
