They've revamped mobile LJ. It now defaults to Russian, when you do get to the English page you get bombarded with Celebrity drivel.

Also, useful text links have been replaced with unintelligble image links. What use are they on a phone.

working great for me, but i think i preferred the old style in some ways. Re lang, on the lj mobile front page, there should be a language selection link top right - choice of Ru or Eng

It's ok once you get used to it, don't think images are a good idea of mobile web as navigation tools, you can't hover over them so they are not intuitive for new users.

Got the language sorted, but I think the fact it defaults to Russian before the cookie sets suggests the new LJ knows where it's market is. How long before the whole site defaults to Russian?

Seems to have space for adverts on as well :-p Bring on ad-block for Blackberry!
