Wow, that's pretty insulting.
At least when I was there there was a bit of cash on offer too.
(meanwhile, don't suppose you're interested in a little move to Glasgow ? There are quite a few IT jobs going around here :-) )

ROFL!
Did you at least get performance based bonuses? (We got ours at the beginning of December, but for the lack of anything better most people regard them as the Christmas bonus.)
I'm given to understand that Lending Services are having a catered Xmas lunch tomorrow, but being in the slightly odd redeployment land I'm not even invited! Not that I really care. We usually get something similar each Xmas and Easter too, although this year, again nothing for me as I don't officially 'belong' anywhere.
Long gone are the lavish Christams lunches some teams used to enjoy though. A couple of years ago my brother's team got to go wherever they wanted for their Xmas lunch and pay for it on their Corporate Cards. They went to the most expensive Japanese restaurant in town and I was very jealous. Given these are many of the same guys who no longer work for the company due to some trading losses (or somesuch), their celebrations have been much more restrained in recent times. :)

Terry & I went to our NAB party on Monday in a run down hall where we were all made to watch our management play a game of "Thank God You're Here". It was for lunch but was held at 3.30pm and the worst part - no alcohol!

Shit, mate. I got that much chocolate from my team leader. Of course, the Xmas bonus was better than that. Then there were the shares... You should come and work for our mob. All the best to you and Trudi. :)
