Yesterday marked the end of the second Andrea Yates trial, with a verdict from the jury that classified Andrea Yates as not guilty by reason of insanity. I understand everything you're saying, and agree with it mostly in that she was already proven to be mentally unstable right after she committed the act. However, as much as I feel sympathy for her in that respect, I cannot forgive her for murdering her own children, but then it isn't for me to forgive or judge. That's God's job. Regardless, she does not need to _ever_ be allowed away from supervision. Her husband _knew_ that she was in a psychotic state, and did nothing. I certainly blame him for what happened. If anyone needs to be punished, it's him. I only wish they had focused on that angle instead.

I disagree with a lot of what you said, simply because I think that killing is killing, no matter how much you sugar coat it. Anyways, you complained that the state of Texas wasted so much taxpayers' money on the case...But did you think about all the taxpayers' money that is going to be used to pay for doctor visits, pay for medicine, pay for housing, pay for food, pay for supervision, etc.? Don't make it sound like there would be no tax money involved if it weren't for the trial.
