I took a drive last weekend to put some miles on my new car, because, I'm barely leaving the house these days, and it's like having a thoroughbred racehorse locked up in the barn. Thank you!! I would never have guessed grain sorghum. In fact, this may be the first time I've typed the words "grain sorghum." No, wait ... TWICE. Those heads are really orange right now!

When I drove past Carl's Corner last week, I was intrigued to see that the Tango frogs are now out in front of a house across the freeway, still festive, perhaps a little worse for the wear.

I read somewhere that Hillsboro now has the best kolaches in the state, which makes me want to go on central Texas driving expedition to find non-West, non-Caldwell kolache bakeries.

Yes, I'm glad the Tango frogs live on. I'll have to hunt down kolaches in Hillsboro now -- I just never think to try beyond West.
