Midge makes me think of poor Barbara Bel Geddes (speaking of which, I have Panic in the Streets sitting by the DVD player but I watched 10 minutes of it and may return it.)
I don't quite know how people find jobs. It seems to rely heavily on knowing someone. A time or two I've sent resumes to organizations I wanted to work for and they were received with a stunned enthusiasm mistakable for silence. I did get my first job in New York just by looking at ads and sending a resume, but then that job was completely horrible. My current job I got by knowing someone.
