I have a new 5p.. Might even have seen a 10p but not sure. Definitely not seen 50p, 20p or £1

To be fair, I only do Tesco in the evenings and I only do this if there's a good chance anyone behind me can use another machine.

I'm just disappointed that they've not gone the whole hog and made them square or jigsaw shaped so you really can put them all together. Or perhaps some round and some diamondy shaped so they fit together properly.

Every infant school child knows that you can't make round things fit together. I am disappointed by the Mint not knowing this either!!

True, while the Mint are selling presentation packs of the coins in various metals (as if the general circulation ones weren't shiny enough), they are missing a trick by not making additional coins that fill in the gaps and enable a proper full picture to be made.

I keep thinking someone has given me a dodgy coin such as a Euro or something every time I get one of these. The 5ps are the worst for it, though I haven't seen anything of higher value in that style.
