Radiation finished on Tuesday, the last blast of 10. Fatigue continues to be the main side-effect and I spent most of yesterday falling asleep and waking up and falling asleep, oh, until some time around 9:30pm. Thinking of you and your family, Paul. It's a long hard journey and you're travelling it with immense courage.

Still reading your updates, thinking supportive thoughts every day, and hope the next week or two are gentle on you.

Paul, David A Burns alerted me recently to your situation. Heavy would be the understatement of the year/decade/century. Reading back a bit into your blog, I found it inspiring and really moving, especially where observations intersect with family life. A personal fave was the post covering everything an audiophile would ever need to know about assembling an analogue>digital rig and cataloguing a whole life's music... Your resistance and determination to ride through is impressive. I think often of you & yr family and hope for the best. I am steeling myself to try some of your acclaimed fiction, though do fear I haven't the spine for it. Well done. Have a peaceful and family Christmas time. Regards, A Cutforth

Hey Adam - long time no see/hear. Thanks for that, and hope you are well. BTW, the fiction will also make you laugh (but only if it is the Slice of Life collection...)

Glad to hear some better news -- you certainly deserve it. If anyone now asks me for a definition of courage, I say "Haines". You're in my thoughts daily, and I hope you have a happy Christmas with Jules and Isla!
