Of epiphanies and childish dreams

It's funny, knowing I've always loved children stories, to find out only now that they're not, AT ALL, my style when it comes to writing.

I might as well use this journal for what it is.

I'm tickled to know I'm not alone in cherishing childhood books, both those that fascinated with their imagery and art, and those that stopped treating kids like idiots and gave them everything their clever little minds could take and more. (I collect picture books myself, especially those based on fairy tales. :3)

And just because you find yourself writing more for adults now doesn't mean that one day you won't have an idea that will fit a children's book. Perhaps you'll be able to have the best of both worlds, able to write imaginative books for adults inspired from tales told to children, and then one day insert a children's book of your own to keep the inspiration going for the next generation. :3
