Starr to be honoured in Liverpool Monday July 10, 11:15 AM By WENN
Former Beatle Ringo Starr will be honoured in his hometown of Liverpool, England, when a new recreation project is named in his honour.
The Rain drummer will lend his name to Starr Fields in Dingle, where he grew up, which will feature football pitches, tennis courts and six bronze benches to represent each decade of the 66-year-old's life.
Local dignitary John Charnock says, "Ringo has offered his support and is enthusiastic about the opportunities it offers to young people."
