I dunno because that was all she asked. Unless my answer was suitably confused sounding enough to make her decide not to talk anymore.

I do wonder myself why some people feel the need to know everything.

In my new awesome part-time job, we have a policy that requires us to check the id's of people who we suspect may be underage for whatever they're buying.

To cover the store's back the age is just bumped up to 21, so if we're unsure about anyone, we as them for proof that they're 21 or over.

However, it does seem strange that you were asked when you weren't even buying anything that needed id. Maybe she was just nosey, or practising for asking other people. I know I need to do that to build up the nerve to ask people for id.

Well that could explain the 21 thing anyway.

I dunno if she was being nosey or not it really seems random, I'd never been asked about my age when buying something ever until then.

I wonder if she somehow thought a magazine I bought was porn :X. Not that it looked anything like it.

Maybe she gave up a child for adoption 21 years ago and she thought that you had her eyes =P
