Time for a pointless update methinks. Nothing much happening with me I'm just spending far too much time on the computer as usual and occasionally staying up too late to watch tennis(Go Andy Murray!)

Now at the risk of sounding like a geek(what do I mean sound like, I am one :P) my love of video game soundtracks has been rediscovered, it was kinda ( Read more... )

Ditto on the game soundtracks. I'm sure there's loads of tunes floating around in the back of my brain from games I loved as a kid. The time may be coming to rediscover them all :)

I'm terrible at actually remembering which tunes originated from which game. The only one off the top of my head would be the SplashWave tune from Outrun, and that's only because I went in search of it.

And don't even get me started on how GTA:Vice City got me hooked on 80's synth pop. A Flock of Seagulls indeed.

It does seem unbelievable that Steve Irwin has died doesn't it? I kinda thought that no matter how dangerous a situation was, he would find a way out of it. Damn you Mr. Stingray...

Ah Outrun I loved all the tunes from that game. I actually have a CD with them on floating around somewhere. I do have trouble remembering where a tune comes from, sometimes one will randomly get into my head and I'll wonder where the hell it came from.

Haha I had the same experience with vice city. I'd probably never have heard of A Flock of seagulls without it. "I Ran" is one of my most played songs.

With Steve Irwin you almost thought of him as invincible even though he was putting himself in danger all the time. I read somewhere that hes only the second person in Australia known to have died from a stingray attack.

it is hard to believe he died- I hadn't really heard much about him since the whole baby incident. but it's so sad.

Isn't that so surreal that he died? But at least he went at the hands of an animal. Seems fitting.
