The one thing you should always do is make sure you're in a safe place when you change out your lenses since you're exposing the interior of the camera body. Also, always point it down to make sure you minimize dust.

It's good to learn how to clean your sensor from time to time, and clean your lenses often. I check my sensor about once every couple weeks.

I think your processing is looking nice. Though, that 2500 ISO leaves some serious grain in the pics that (IMO) looks a bit too severe. You're getting some nice composition on those pics though.

I do need to learn to manually clean my sensor - and need to be more fully equipped for frequent lens cleaning too ( ... )

It's really simple to clean the sensor. I think there are instructions on the Nikon site.

I've never used the auto ISO on my camera. It's one thing I really like having full control over. What might be good is to go to a show (maybe not one you're super invested in regarding pics) and just use it as an experiment to figure out what ISO you should set it to for different lighting. My suggestion is to get away from auto ISO fully and try to move more and more into manual so you have full control over the shot and know what to expect.

I'm jealous of your new gear.

Red light is a bitch. That's why I always complain when whoever is doing lights at the nightlight leaves them on red.

You got some really nice shots.

I've never been able to get a picture of Richy that was worth much. That one is lovely.
