Check out the GishiGo.com website as well. It is a very useful tool to help identify (and filter) the people. Not only is it a BS filter, it actually exchanges PayPal ID which is an effective resource. I use it for all my rideshares and carpools if I don't know the people. Works great with all social networks, do both!
