I love the Rolling Stones. i think that just by being on the radio Mick Jagger fucked every girl in the western hemisphere. And then Lou Reed/Iggy Pop fucked every thing in the western hemisphere. i was reading a pitchfork review on Guided By Voices' last concert that they played on New Year's of 2004. Bob Pollard announced that when Guided By Voices was gone, indie rock would die. i think he's right because of everything you said in your post.
