Carl Rove resigned... there was an earthquake which killed a few hundred people. Hurricane Dean messed up Mexico.

you didn't call back, but I figured that was probably a function of choosing not to investigate the corporeal frustration potential of the telephone system further, and could hardly blame you.

also, I am ill with some bizarre form of vertigo and must type very, very carefully, partly because of that and partly because the treatment for same includes Valium. :)
