Grieving

My Uncle Ron died on Wednesday morning.

I'm still in a little bit of shock - his end came so much more quickly than we had anticipated, and I'm having a little trouble processing it, accepting the reality of his death.  I'm gtold that is perhaps normal.  I guess it's also because I'd grown quite close to him over the past couple of years, and

And oddly enough, I was thinking of you just today as I was packing and cleaning, as I found your wonderful box of the awesome Saiyuki manga - and honestly I was concerned about where I'd put it. I have put it aside, and will ship it back to you as soon as I can. (i'll be in touch.) I am sure you have been long wondering what happened to your books, and if I ever would return them, but believe me, I will. I am so sorry it's taken me so long. I had enjoyed them a good deal, and should have sent them back then, but unfortunately I'd let them get rather buried till today! My sincere apologies, my friend. :-(

Oh Pax, I'm really sorry to hear it, and it's always so terrible to witness the suffering of those we love. But how good for him that you were there for him and could make sure he saw his brother again...always remember that you were able to ease his last days so much. He was lucky to have you in his life, just as you were lucky to have him in yours.

Yes, you're right, Jen, I do indeed feel quite blessed to have been able to give them both that gift of that final visit - it's really a miracle I was allowed and able to do that, actually! And I am indeed lucky to have had my uncle Ron in my life, for sure. *smiles sadly* I will miss him very, very much.
