Way back when I worked a cash register at Arby's (do you have that? crappy synthetic roast beef sandwiches) there was a popular order combo that would ring up as $6.66 with tax. Occasionally, people would add something to their order b/c they weren't comfortable with that total. I kid you not.

It's crazy how much stock people put in that number...and alternately how many people have no idea what you're talking about when you say '666'. My Dad was totally confused when I mentioned it.

Now, if the world was going to end and Satan send the land into eternal darkness, wouldn't you think 06/06/06 would be the most poetic day? Just sayin'.
