Lost season 2

I just finished watching season 2 of Lost and . . .

It's like crack. Really frustrating crack. I really don't know if I liked it or was infuriated by it. Probably a little bit of both.

I mean, I like a lot of the characters, and that's really most of the reason I'm still watching. Of course, Claire is annoying (Charlie almost killed your baby, for god's sake! Stop making googly eyes at him, it's only been a week!), Walt is the spawn of Lucifer himself, Anna Lucia was sullen, Michael is an ass, and the less said about Kate the better, but I like most of them. The problem is, the story is getting more and more far-fetched. Every time they seemingly answer a question, 5 more are posed, and we lose some character along the way. I hate seeing character sacrificed for plot, and to me that's what's happening. Now, the end of the season, with Desmond's girl and those French guys... well, there needs to be a damned good explanation. I've already given up hope on the potentially Normal Again-esque reason why Libby was in Hurley's mental institute.

I'm also looking for a little more on the 'why the plane crashed with all those mysteriously connected people on it' front, because as far as I'm concerned, that question has not been answered at all. If JJ suddenly breaks into It's a Small World After All I'm gonna need to fly to Hawaii and we're going to have words. Electromagnetics is all well and good for the physics, but I'm looking for a little more on the co-inky-dink side of things.

Yeah. I'll watch season three, but I may not like it.
