Humanity is separated into two different branches; 'Normal' and 'Mutant.'
→ Mutations are those whose DNA is altered from the 'Normal' genetic code (around 99.5% of it is still the same)
→ Causes those who are 'Mutants' to have abnormally enhanced abilities (ex. incredibly sharp hearing, superhuman strength and reflexes, etc.)
→ Reason for this split coming about is unknown
→ Select 'Normals' know of the existence of the other half (mostly scientists working with this branch of work and certain government officials)
→ Many Mutants are taken into the government's custody and treated like lab rats; others are in hiding across the world or acting as nomads. The majority remain in five large, contained communities worldwide, or are fighters in the underground ring
→There is mutual prejudice on both sides. Even the most accepting still have some grudges against either side.
