what is noel? like who is she and why is she put together with christmas??? i really dont know. neither does my boss or her friend. does anybody know?

iiiiiiii don't think its a woman, but i have a feeling it has to do with the north star. actually, I think that is what it is, but i try and flush all that catholic school-christian knowledge out of my head.

It comes from the word "nouvelles," which means "news" in french. So "The First Noel" refers to the "good news" that the angels gave to the shepherds when Jesus was born, etc etc.
