i searched on the internet and called lots and lots of people. there must have been a 3 week period where i did absolutely no work all day long and was more or less a full time wedding planner. we also took a trip out to maui to meet with vendors this summer. i ended up not hiring a full time coordinator since i had done all the research on my own. i'm booking the vendors myself and will have a day of coordinator. (when i showed my day of coordinator my binders and binders of notes, she suggested i publish it! haha.)

are you thinking about doing a destination wedding? anyways, if you've got any questions, let me know.

Yeah we were thinking about it. It's been overwhelming and we thought hmm what if we go to hawaii then we won't be obligated to invite everyone!

a wedding in hawaii is definitely a different experience. since people are there on vacation, people are usually more relaxed as they aren't rushing to get there, and having to rush home at the end of the nite. that's what we loved about the weddings we've been to there and wanted to share that type of experience with our friends (that plus we just love hawaii ( ... )

Mmmmm....menu sounds delish! I would be all over the sushi station! Will the roasted pig be a luau?

not quite a luau ... at a luau, the pig is roasted underground and dug up for the luau. ours won't be roasted underground, but it will still be a full roasted pig (hopefully with a green apple in it's mouth). we've got some elements of a luau going (hula dancers, fire knife throwers), but the rest of the food won't be luau like (cuz i wasn't that big a fan of the rest of the food). heh heh.

heh :) that's a good one ... "pigging out!". yeah, there's a lot going on in the evening...so much that there will only be an hour left for dancing since the curfew is 10 pm :(. oh well ... i think we'll just have an "after party" right there, and turn on the house music.
