So I have to admit. During that one particular scene...you know the one...I chuckled a little. My husband turned to me and said "What's so funny?"...I said, "oh nothing, fandom's just exploding in rage right now." I also couldn't help but here 15lbpurebunny screaming: "Damn you purse-dweller!!"
Tee. Hee.
Alright, so I guess long term it's not funny. In fact it's kinda...uh....what the hell. I mean I get the whole connection there, remorse, angst, regret etc etc etc. But seriously. Wow. That was intense. I wasn't expecting that much that quick. I did love the line at the end: "I've really gotta get a car". hee.
It also got me thinking about the major differences between Charlie/Connie and Charlie/Jennifer...so it's interesting to me that Charlie's not willing to go there with Connie "because she's married", but he's willing to screw Jennifer in the back of her husband's car. Interesting. Perhaps its this idea that Jennifer's husband hurt him first, so it's okay? Or Jennifer was his first, his rightfully, so it's okay? Or he has this weird savior complex about Connie, thus isn't willing to touch that one, even though he'd like to. Just speculating, but it's interesting to me...
Anyhoo, I really enjoyed the episode. It took me a minute to get the bit at the end with the police scanner and Jack phoning someone, but then I was really excited for the possibilities. That's what you get for threatening my Ted you A-hole. Ha! Charlie Crews is gonna come kick your ass.
Also, the scene with Dani and Charlie at the restaraunt where Dani's confused as to how they're going to bring the big guy in for questioning and Charlie just say, nonchalantly: "for assaulting a police officer". The following moments were AWESOME. Loved it.
I'm also happy to see the Charlie-Dani banter is back. We saw some glimpses of it in the first episode, but it was much more prevalent here.
Also, Charlie + Maserati = So. Awesome.
I think our little show is off to a pretty interesting start....now I just hope the ratings reflect that... *crosses fingers*
