Well, another Prison Break Fic Exchange has come and gone, and wrldpossibility and clair_de_lune and I hope all participants and readers and lurkers found the experience a challenging/interesting/enjoyable one

Since I didn't have the time to leave propre replies during the contest, I'll leave one here.
I really enjoyed this, and I mentioned it often to chatty_cat and poisonshades during our conversations. It allows the writer to explore new venues while remaining anonymous (at least for a little while). By venues, I don't only mean slash or writing about characters they're not used to write about, but it's also a time for them to perhaps write differently? To get out of their comfort zone? I love that.
And all that I've just mentioned also applies to the readers - getting out of their comfort zone to go read slash, or stories about characters they're not used to read about, because oh, maybe it's their favorite author who wrote it, or which ever else reason

Thank you Daphnee, that's a lovely comment. I agree, from the standpoint of a writer AND a reader. You really stretch beyond your usual genres during the pbfe. I know I read some really cool stuff that I wouldn't have otherwise stumbled upon.
The anonymous factor always make it more interesting, I think. For an author, it's a challenge to see if they can disguise their style enough to pass undetected, and for the reader it's a challenge to see through that disguise.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and I hope you'll be around reading (writing? Heh) for the next round!
I will take this opportunity to thank all three of you lovely ladies for all the work you did. I have never participated before, and you made me feel very welcomed and accepted. I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart.
I was so nervous and you made it easy. I can't imagine any better way to explain it than that.
I was just thinking about this, and I wondered if there are any plans to do another exchange any time soon? I'm not trying to add a lot of worry to anyone's plate, and I don't even know if I'd participate--it would depend on the dates, I suppose--but I was just curious.
I had a PM asking the same thing a few weeks ago (forgive me, but I cannot remember how to spell that lovely person's username, it's quite long!). The question came at a time when I was personally mired in Michael-related grief, but my answer is still the same. I would be happy to run another exchange and I'm sure wrldpossiblity and clair_de_lune would feel the same, but I did worry that if we don't give it enough time, there will be an overload of AU stories as opposed to canon fics.
So that's a yes to another one in the future, but not exactly sure when. Perhaps a poll is in order to see how many people would like to play? Hmmmm.
Not sure about knowing best, lol, but it's all about having a good balance, so yeah. I'm sure there will be another one, though. We had a great time organising the last one. Oh, and although it made me tear my hair out, I got a lot of enjoyment out of writing for a certain someone. :P
