I don't know why, but I feel kind of good about only hearing a handfull of these albums. Ghostface would definitely be on my list if I was making one, though.
Yeah, Fishscale was pretty rad. I certainly enjoyed the album, but it wasn't exactly as high-inducing as its title suggests, IMO. At least he's carrying the Wu torch better than most. I guess we'll also see what happens when the new Cuban Linx comes out next year from Raekwon.
I don't think many will place the Furnaces or Sparklehorse on their final end-of-the-years, though, at this point. Those haven't really done too well since September, when this was made. And I'm normally a huge Fiery Furnaces/Matthew Friedberger fan, but both of the records they/he put out this year were kinda weak, as much as I really enjoyed a few tracks from each of them.

That Swan Lake record, surprisingly, is really quite good.
