I don't think I really have time tonight to give this past year the justice it deserves, as amberphlame, myself, and a motley crew of miscreants (lune_a_tic, cidr, marzipan_pig, oranchina and her LJ-less boy, and possibly later on, poon [and possibly his mystery girl?]) are headin' down the Edgewater to gobble up deliciousness and bring in the new year (among other things we may do this eve ( Read more... )

amberphlame = tax deduction alright! That's cuz the US Govt recognizes that yer such a huge BURDEN for me to carry! ;p

was there jewelry involved? Because aside from tax credits, the jewelry is the only other reason I can think of to get married..

Sadly (for my dear amberphlame), there was not (*yet*, I'm informed ;) ) any jewelry involved. That'll probably come when we have a big party of some sort (that way, I get the party I want, and she can get the *shiny* she wants [although given her tastes, it may be a while before such things can get afforded!], and everyone's happy!).

But when one has a wedding, you also get *presents*! I should try that "wedding" thing sometime (since marriage != presents, party does)...
