7 1/2 months tomorrow

Feeling a bit shitty this week.  7 months of looking for work an I've had one interview.  It's for a a job doing the same thing I did for thirteen years.  I would be perfect for that job.  She told me that she would start  setting up second interviews by the end of last week.

Nothing, so far.

Damn. There's nothing I can do to help - but I wish there was. The economy has become so screwed up that it's hurting dozens of my friends.

You are a good person and not worthless. What is worthless are the political hacks who let profiteers gouge the heart out of the economy while [federally] dumping money into foreign wars of conquest and [state] refused to take responsibility for the fiscal mess the state was getting into.

Now you - and a ton of other lovely people [plus tons more of annoying other people] are all being made to suffer as the economy does a death spiral.

I hope and say prayers that you get work that you enjoy [or at least -something- until that point] - and send you a BIG HUG via the 'net.

Net hugs, yay! Thanks! The most frustrating part of it is that, usually, you think, well, I'll just get a "shit" job (McD's, retail) until something better comes along, but they're not hiring, either! I knew I should have applied for those Jack in the Box management trainee positions I saw back in January, but who knew?
