Hey, I just voted for you in the CF community! But I hate to tell you this- I don't think they'll let you pass medical clearance. This may not be true, but that's my feeling. http://www.peacecorps.gov/multimedia/pdf/library/peacecorpsmedinfo.pdf

I've been worried about that. But the website says "typically we do not accept" I believe I have a pretty mild case. I don't know. I'm hoping they will accept me, but I know there isn't a great chance.

I had to fight for 1.9 years to get in and I didn't have anything on "the list" (although PC TOLD me I had something I never had which resulted in me proving i never had it to begin with....be aware, PC Medical in D.C., not the smartest cookie in the box) but I disagree that everybody gets sick. I didn't have anything crazy...a cold maybe... but nothing serious...and if you do have something like CF they are not going to place you in the middle of nowhere without proper medical care close by. (I was 10 hours from the capital)
I think it is great that you are trying to get in but definitely don't put all your eggs in one basket...I had to fight for 1.9 years without something on the list....so....yeah.....I had the time of my life but I have a feeling most recruiters may steer you in another direction. Have you found anyone else that has been in with CF?

A cold for us could turn pretty nasty, though, if you have CF.
