My medical process took me almost 9 months, if memory serves. You get a huge stack of papers and it just takes some time to get all the appointments settled. Good luck!

I agree--your chances look pretty good. I wouldn't worry too much about what you feel "qualified" to teach because you'll get some training once you get to country. And, at least where I was in El Salvador, just having basic knowledge of things we do in the States anyway (recycle, hygeine, etc.) give you an automatic leg up.

I don't remember exactly how long my medical process took, but it did take awhile. Mostly because the doctor kept forgetting to sign in the correct places or order additional tests I needed. I originially had a February nomination, but left that September.

why does the medical stuff take so long??? is it just the length of time between appointments? what kind of tests??? i cant decide whether to be nervous about this or not!
