Not everyone is meant to pack up and move to Africa for a few years, but don’t let that stop you from making a difference where you are.
Wonderful advice. I was burned during my last volunteer experience (The 2011 Canada Games) so I am trying to think of some good volunteer opportunities. The caveat is that I don't consider myself a "people person"
There's always registering and organizing and stuffing bags/envelopes for things like that (the Canada Games). Lots of food pantries/clothing shelters always need someone to go through their stuff and keep it organized and sorted. And you're good with photography, you could always volunteer to photograph an event or work on flyers and other advertisements. :)
Awe thanks. Yeah, Ive done some Pro Bono photography-there's always the problem of volunteering for something I's rather be paid for! I do a lot of photography for my dojo.
