State Try-Outs

I placed 15th out of 24. Im not too upset. Actually im not upset at all. I personally thought i did better than 15th but im not gonna make a fuss about it. I probably would have had i been one away from State but i wasnt so making a scene about it wouldnt have gotten me anywhere.

Region Band is next week, yay!

congratulations...the competition is tough once ya get there and you represented us well! i'm so glad that you at least got to go!

Im glad i got to go to. I got to hear some AMAZING horn players! The guys that got 1st chair didnt miss a single note on his 2nd and 3rd song... insane!

Then there were people who were still sight reading parts of thei music. I was pissed because a couple of them didnt want to be there and they made it obvious. They played like crap and then stood up with a big smile on their face and walked in a sarcasticly "cool" way. It was really upsetting to see them SUCK and still get a patch when both Casey and Rachel played better than them at Region Band auditions and i know Casey would have DIED to go to Area. *sigh* i guess they cant make it perfect. :-/

are you serious?! that sucks!! why would someone not want to go to state auditions....that doesn't really make sense in my mind. I wish I could have gone in their place.
